The Association “Amici del Carnevale di Venezia” founded in 1990, aims to introduce Venice, its history, palaces, culture and customs to all those who come to Venice because they are attracted by the charm of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

The Association organizes 1700 and 1800 costume parties to offer those who participate the chance to experience the atmosphere of those times! People who participate in our festivals come not only from Italy but also from the USA, Canada and many European states. In addition, for those visitors who, not having historical costumes, would like to take part in the aforementioned festivities, the Association is in a position to suggest some friendly ateliers to find a costume to rent.

Outside the Carnival period, the Association organizes costume events in historical palaces, guided tours to learn about places of special cultural interest, and costume and dance classes.
