The authors, inspired by the evocative and suggestive images of Chagall the painter, wove warp and weft to construct a small yet poignant story. They immersed themselves in his iconographic world, crafting a narrative that gave time and development to his painting. A silent world thus found its voice. The meeting between the bodies of the two actors and the pictorial images takes place within a scenic setup that allows the creation of hybrid figures, blending the real and the fantastical. Video projection becomes a third actor, interacting with the live performers and creating visual impressions that seamlessly merge the two planes.
The rhythm and musicality of choreographic gestures fill the gap that painting cannot bridge to become theater. The performance transitions continuously between the reality of the everyday—expressed through rhythmic movements—and the fantasy of escaping it, entering the dream of impossible desires. These two separate and parallel worlds—reality and dream—alternate on stage, eventually merging and integrating until they are no longer distinct but become a singular moment that encompasses both.
