The Venice Carnival 2026, scheduled from 31 January to 17 February, celebrates the Olympic year with a theme that weaves together history, art, and sport, paying tribute to the universal power of play and challenge.

“Olympus –  The Origins of the Game” evokes mythology and the harmony of body and mind, as well as the Venice of centuries past, when Carnival was a grand stage for competitions, acrobatic performances, and collective tests of skill—anticipating the spirit of the modern Olympic Games.
