Arsenale Water Show
The Darsena Grande of the Venice Arsenal once again becomes an open-air stage to host “The Call of Olympia,” a new Venice Carnival show inspired by the epic story of the Olympic Games, recounting a journey of challenge, dream, and magnificent conquest.
At the center of the story is Alvise the Fisherman, a mortal man who from the sea of Venice dreams of the immortality of the Gods. To achieve it, he faces five trials, traversing the elements through victories, eternal contests, and play.
Guiding him on this heroic journey is the voice of Olympia, the muse of strength and determination.
A legendary, intense tale with magical undertones that weaves the plot of the game, enchanting the audience with visual arts and spectacular performances.
A Total Theater on the water that narrates the challenge as a quest and, in universal peace, the true victory.
Double show with Arsenale Water Show. The performances will take place from Friday, February 6 to Sunday, February 8, 2026, and then from Thursday, February 12 to Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 6:45 PM and 9:00 PM.
We kindly inform our audience that the performance will take place as scheduled, even in the event of light rain, fog or wind. In more difficult weather, the performance may be delayed or modified to guarantee everyone’s safety. If weather conditions become extreme, the event may be cancelled. HOW TO REACH THE ARSENALE OF VENICE
ON FOOT
Pedestrian access via the Celestia footbridge – Arsenale Nord, entering the Arsenale through Tesa 105. Click here to view the location of Tesa 105 on Google Maps
Access is allowed only to spectators already holding a ticket for the show. Tickets will not be available for purchase on-site. Please ensure you plan your route and allow sufficient travel time to the venue. (For example, San Marco – Bacini Arsenale Nord: travel time is approximately 30 minutes)
SPECIAL CONNECTIONS TO REACH THE ARSENALE
CA LINE – ACTV SERVICE DEDICATED EXCLUSIVELY TO SHOW TICKET HOLDERS
From San Zaccaria pier “A” to Torre di Porta Nuova/Arsenale: Shuttle service starting at 5:45 PM (for the 6:45 PM show) and at 8:00 PM (for the 9:00 PM show).
From Torre di Porta Nuova/Arsenale to S. Marco–S. Zaccaria: Return shuttles at the end of each show.
Boarding is permitted with the show ticket and with the following Actv travel passes: € 5.00 round-trip ticket valid only on line CA, time-based tickets (1, 2, 3, 7 days), Rete Unica subscription, Rete Unica single ticket, or carnet (available for Venezia Unica cards enabled for water transport).
Upon return, potential wait times may occur at the Bacini Arsenale Nord pier; we strongly recommend using the CA shuttle.
ACTV PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The reference stop for the local public transport service is “Bacini – Arsenale Nord” (served by Actv lines 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, and 5.2. Check the schedules by clicking here), which is located in the immediate vicinity of the performance venue. Entrance to the Arsenale is through Tesa 105. PLEASE NOTE: Do not go to the public transport stop named “Arsenale,” as it requires a walk of approximately 30 minutes to reach the event site.
TICKETING
All tickets will soon be available online.
Tickets will also be available for purchase — upon presentation of an ID — at the Vela Venezia Unica sales points in: Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto, IAT Scalzi, Rialto, IAT Correr in St. Mark’s Square, Mestre Piazzale Cialdini, IAT Airport, Dolo, and Sottomarina.
Tickets are strictly personal, non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be modified.
Admission tickets may be printed or shown on a smartphone.
Attention: All seats are numbered.
When booking, spectators can choose whether to watch the show from the floating platforms or from the grandstands on the quay.
As this is an outdoor show, we recommend wearing clothing suitable for the expected weather conditions.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Please be advised that, for organizational and safety reasons, access to the theater after the start time may not be permitted.
Spectators arriving late after the time indicated on their ticket will be admitted only at times authorized by the director and theater staff. They may be asked to sit in different seats than those purchased, including standing, without the right to a refund.
We therefore recommend maximum punctuality and careful prior verification of the routes and times required to reach the performance venue.
