La Traviata
A cornerstone of the La Fenice repertoire, Giuseppe Verdi’s La traviata returns to the stage.
The masterpiece by the “Maestro of Busseto” will once again be presented in the historic production—now a symbol of the Venetian Theater—that inaugurated the reconstructed La Fenice after the fire. Directed by Canadian director Robert Carsen, with sets and costumes by Patrick Kinmonth, this staging has become an essential piece of La Fenice’s programming more than twenty years after its debut. Conductor Stefano Ranzani will lead the musical direction, guiding a cast featuring Rosa Feola, Stefan Pop, Roberto Frontali, Barbara Massaro, Paolo Antognetti, William Corrò, Mattia Denti, and Armando Gabba in the lead roles. Five performances are scheduled at Teatro La Fenice as part of the 2025-2026 Opera and Ballet Season: February 8, 11, 13, 15, and 17, 2026.
