Ci vuole un fisico bestiale! L’Olimpo e l’olimpiade nell’arte del Novecento

On Saturday, January 31st at 5:00 PM, M9Lab will host the conference “Ci vuole un fisico bestiale! Olympus and the Olympics in 20th-Century Art,” curated by Serena Bertolucci, Director of M9 – Museum of the 20th Century.

The event explores the relationship between art, myth, and the representation of the body throughout the 1900s, drawing on Olympic imagery and the figures of classical Olympus as reinterpreted by modern artists. The lecture offers an accessible and thought-provoking look at how ideals of strength, beauty, and movement spanned the last century, influencing artistic languages and visions.
