Since its foundation, the International Association for the Carnival of Venice has expressed its cosmopolitan vocation by organizing an event dedicated to the Diplomatic Corps present in the territory of Venice.

The Corteo Acqueo has – always and forever in Venetian tradition – been a symbol of union among peoples and domination of the seas.
Approximately 30 Gondolas, starting from the pier at Ca’ Giustinian, home of the Biennale in St. Mark’s Basin, for a parade along the Grand Canal. Leading civil and military authorities, Consuls, Members and supporters of the Association will arrive at Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, a sumptuous aristocratic palace to attend an evocative concert titled ‘Arias and Love Duets in Opera for Valentine’s Day,’ which will make this evening an unforgettable tribute to Venetian romanticism. The event will conclude with a celebratory cocktail reception in the magnificent Great Hall of Music, to honor and celebrate the national representatives from around the world currently in our territory—a tradition held dear by the Most Serene Republic.
