Fritole e fritoleri: un Viaggio nella Tradizione del Carnevale di Venezia
Fritole e Fritoleri returns, an event officially included in the programme of the Venice Carnival 2026.
The event is conceived by Veneziaeventi, Dr. Fabio Busetto, in collaboration with the Barbarigo Institute of Venice, with the aim of enhancing Venetian pastry tradition through creativity, education and artistic cross-pollination.
The protagonists of the 2026 edition will be the students of the Barbarigo Institute, who will present a special fritter inspired by the official Carnival concept: “Olympus – At the Origins of the Game, which for us becomes Taste”, a project coordinated by Dr. Fabio Busetto.
Students from the Music High School will accompany the event with live performances, creating evocative soundscapes that enrich the audience’s sensory experience. As tradition dictates, the event will conclude with the presentation of an exclusive recipe by gelato makers from the Veneto, featuring gelato as the star, in a dialogue between tradition and innovation.
