The events of Venice Carnival 2024 may be delayed, suspended, or cancelled, in case of weather conditions – verified at the specific sites and on the spot – that compromise a safe performance.

In these cases, it will be promptly communicated through on-site and web/social communication channels.

Il Carnevale delle tradizioni/ The traditional Carnivals

Delegations of Italian and world Carnivals will bring their traditions to the city’s fields and St. Mark’s Square. The Unione Nazionale Pro Loco d’Italia on Monday, February 12th, will curate the participation of groups from various Italian regions on the stage in St. Mark’s Square and other places!

The Unione Nazionale Pro Loco d’Italia (Unpli) with 6300 registered Pro Loco associations constitutes the only national reference point for these associations (the first one was founded in 1881) that boast a total of about 600 thousand volunteers. Thanks to UNESCO‘s accreditation as an advisor to the Intergovernmental Committee envisaged for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage and to the fruitful and constant action undertaken in several areas, from projects to publishing initiatives, Unpli has consolidated its role in safeguarding and protecting cultural heritage, becoming an institutional reference. Worldwide there are 217 accredited organizations.
