Venice Carnival Street Show
A new edition of the Venice Carnival Street Show, featuring a grand celebration of diverse performing arts that brings life to the squares of Venice, the city center of Mestre, the islands of the Lagoon, and the centers of the Municipalities.
A universe suspended between gods, heroes, and trials of strength, where play becomes challenge, creativity, and fun.
Venice and all its streets turn into paths of wonder leading to an imaginary Olympus, brought to life by more than three hundred and fifty heroic street performers, eighty companies, and one thousand live show performances.
Circus-theatre, clowning, parades, and storytellers come together for an Olympiad of entertainment that will ignite the imagination of audiences of all ages.

The spirit of “Arte Diffusa” returns to the Venice Carnival with the Venice Carnival Street Show. This vibrant festival brings a diverse array of performances to the historic squares of Venice, the heart of Mestre, the lagoon islands, and across the mainland.
The festivities begin with a special preview on Saturday, January 31st and Sunday, February 1th, 2026, in Piazza San Marco and Piazza Ferretto. The celebration then reaches its peak on Saturday, February 7th and Sunday, February 8th, continuing through the height of the “Fat Week” festivities from Monday, February 9th to Tuesday, February 17th, 2026.

At the Carnevale di Venezia 2026, world-class street performers will enchant audiences of all ages. Prepare to be amazed by a vibrant mix of circus arts, clowning, live music, and parades, alongside magicians and master storytellers who invite you into a world of pure imagination. This journey through the colors and emotions of live performance features over 80 troupes and 250 artists, bringing more than 1,000 show performances to life throughout the event.
Experience a non-stop program of “diffused art” across Venice in Campo San Geremia, Santa Maria Formosa, San Giacomo dall’Orio, San Cassiano, Santa Margherita, and Esedra Castello. Meanwhile, the magic spreads to Mestre, appearing in Piazza Ferretto, Largo Divisione Julia, Piazzetta Battisti, Via Poerio, and Via Palazzo.
This year, the Venice Carnival Street Show once again celebrates one of the world’s most prestigious theatrical traditions: Commedia dell’Arte. The festival-within-a-festival, “VENEZIA, ovvero L’ARTE DELLA COMMEDIA” (curated by the Pantakin Company), will grace the traditional stages of Piazzetta San Marco and Campo Santo Stefano!
