Il Carnevale delle tradizioni
The Carnival of Traditions returns to Venice!
Delegations from Italian and international carnivals will bring their unique traditions to the city’s squares and Piazza San Marco. On Monday, March 3rd, the National Union of Pro Loco of Italy (UNPLI) will host groups from various Italian regions on the stage in Piazza San Marco and other locations!
The National Union of Pro Loco of Italy (UNPLI), with 6,300 registered Pro Loco associations, serves as the sole national reference point for these organizations, the first of which was founded in 1881. Representing approximately 600,000 volunteers, UNPLI has gained UNESCO accreditation as a consultant for the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Through its ongoing initiatives—ranging from projects to editorial efforts—UNPLI has solidified its role in preserving and protecting cultural heritage, becoming a key institutional reference point. Globally, 217 organizations hold this prestigious accreditation.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday March 3rd, in Piazza San Marco from 3:30 PM!
