Selection of 12 Marie of Venice Carnival 2025
The selection of the 12 Marie will take place on Thursday, February 13, at 3:00 PM at the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista.
If you are a girl aged between 18 and 28, residing in Venice within the Metropolitan City area, or you were born in Venice even if residing elsewhere in Italy, purchase Il Gazzettino (Venice-Mestre edition), where you will soon find the registration coupon. Don’t miss the chance to become one of the 12 Marie of the Venice Carnival 2025.
Requirements for registration:
– A completed Il Gazzettino coupon
– Age between 18 and 28 years
– Residence in the Metropolitan City of Venice or being born in Venice, even if residing elsewhere in Italy. Foreign nationals must also provide a residence permit.

On Saturday, February 22nd, the dressing ceremony will take place, organized by the Atelier Pietro Longhi. During this moment, the newly elected 12 Marie will wear for the first time the costumes they will use to live the 2025 Venice Carnival as protagonists. Hair and makeup will be provided by Crisam MakeUp Academy.
This will mark the beginning of the magical adventure of the Festa delle Marie.
Last year, we recall, the title of Maria of the Year 2024 was won by Silvia Zecchin, a 20-year-old from Noale, a Political Science and Classics student at the University of Padua, and a rhythmic gymnastics instructor for children.
