This performance tells, in a theatrical and autobiographical form, the story of Renato and Alfonso Bialetti, the inventors of the Moka pot—a symbol of the daily coffee ritual and of Italian industrial genius. The narrative unfolds in the first person through the voice of Celestina Bialetti, who acts as witness and guardian of the family memory, transforming historical accounts into an intimate and poetic experience.

Inspired by the book A Dream of Dust and Water (Un sogno di polvere e acqua), the theatrical fragment weaves together memories, images, and reflections, creating a dramaturgy that alternates between speech, movement, and soundscapes. Through Celestina’s eyes, we see the figures of Alfonso Bialetti—the visionary artisan—and Renato Bialetti, the heir and interpreter of an intuition that managed to enter homes and lives all over the world.

Theatrical performance in Italian language conceived, written, and staged by Danny Bignotti
