Riccardo III
Teatro Toniolo presents the talented Maria Paiato—known for her sensitivity and refinement on both stage and screen. With extraordinary interpretative power and audacity, she takes on the male lead in Shakespeare’s Richard III: the physically deformed sovereign, the usurper, and the embodiment of the cruel and Machiavellian politician.
This is a challenge long sought after by the Venetian actress, now realized in a project shared with director Andrea Chiodi (born 1978). A former student of Piera Degli Esposti, Chiodi is one of the most established Italian directors of the new generation.
